Xiaomi Pad 7 Series new tablet comes with 50MP dual camera and 120W fast charging

After launching several smartphones with their branding this year, Xiaomi is now focusing on the launch of the next generation Xiaomi Pad 7 series of tablets. The upcoming lineup is expected to include two models, the standard Xiaomi Pad 7 and the Xiaomi Pad 7 Pro. Several details about both the models have already been leaked online. And now a tipster has revealed the tentative launch date of these tabs. Let’s find out.

Xiaomi Pad 7 Series Probable Launch Timeline

A tipster claimed in his Weibo (Chinese microblogging website) post that Xiaomi will launch the Xiaomi Pad 7 series in the third quarter of this year. The predecessor Xiaomi Pad 6 and Pad 6 Pro debuted in April last year. This means that the series will enter the market quite late in view of the launch time of the previous lineup.

Also, the tipster stated that the tablets will be suitable for “in-car use” via a plug and play method. The inclusion of this functionality in tablets is expected from Xiaomi, as the Chinese brand is now also building electric vehicles (EV). Hence, establishing compatibility across the product ecosystem is one of the company’s goals at the moment.

Xiaomi Pad 7 Series Specifications (Expected)

Although very little information is still available about the Xiaomi Pad 7 series, well-known tipster Digital Chat Station has revealed some key specifications of the Pro model. It is expected to have Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor, 12.45 inch display with 144 Hz refresh rate and 16:10 aspect ratio. And for power backup, it will get a 10,000 mAh battery. The Xiaomi Pad 7 Pro phone has also received approval from the China Compulsory Certification Platform, which will support 120W fast charging.

For photography, the Xiaomi Pad 7 Pro tablet is said to include a 50-megapixel dual camera setup on the back and quad speakers for audio. On the other hand, not much is known about the standard Xiaomi Pad 7 yet, but a recent report claimed that it might feature a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor.
